New Staff Members:

Samantha Phillips:

Samantha joined Machen McChesney as a Tax Supervisor in 2020. She has over 13 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in providing tax planning, compliance, and business services to family groups and their entities, including closely-held businesses, trusts, estates, and private foundations.

Samantha has her Masters of Business Administration from Troy University and a Batchelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama. 

Samantha was born and raised in Smiths Station, AL, and still lives there with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys volunteering at her church, going to gymnastics meets with her kids, and spending time outdoors with her family.


Sam Allen:

Sam Allen joined Machen McChesney as a staff accountant in May of 2020. He specializes in individual and business tax and auditing.

Sam has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems Management from Auburn University.

Sam is originally from Auburn, Alabama. He enjoys spending time with family and friends at Lake Martin, attending Auburn University sporting events, and golfing.
